Can be the reason for the capsizing.
An arrest warrant has been issued for the captain of Sewol.
Toll has not change since the death of the Vice Principle.
A vice principal rescued from the South Korean ferry that encountered unexplained problems and sank on Wednesday was found hanged in an apparent suicide.
"Please hold me responsible for all of this. I pushed for the school excursion. Cremate my body and spread my ashes over the ship sinking site. I may become a teacher again in the afterlife for the students whose bodies have yet to be found."
This poor man did nothing wrong. He was simply trying to give his students some fond memories to look back upon later in their lives and yet he felt it was completely necessary to shoulder the entire weight of this tragedy by himself. Let us remember that it’s not only the parents/family members who are suffering (though I can assure you, they are suffering the hardest) but the teachers and school’s administration as well. These trips, especially to Jeju Island, are so commonplace and popular. No one could have foreseen the horror of participating in this simple, Korean rite of passage, on this particular day or on any other for that matter. My heart now go out to this man’s family as well. No one deserved to go through this.
I cannot sleep. Every time I try, my overactive imagination plants the faces of all those still missing in the forefront of my thoughts. It makes me envision the floating bodies, the abandoned phones. I’ve never been able to pull an all nighter but I cannot push past the nightmares.
Please. Please let them find someone. Please let there be more survivors. No parent deserves this. No student deserves this. No one deserves to die or suffer like this.
Brother who gave his life jacket to his sister, as of now her brother and parents have not been heard from.
This shouldn’t have happened. He shouldn’t have ever had to have faced such a choice, especially not at a young age…
